libhttpclient-java software package provides HTTP/1.1 compliant HTTP agent implementation, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libhttpclient-java
libhttpclient-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libhttpclient-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libhttpclient-java *
You will get with libhttpclient-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
